Norj Guro had two attempts to compete for a world title. In 2015, she competed against Nao Ikeyama for the WBO women’s atomweight belt in Japan, however she ended up losing the fight by unanimous decision. The year after that, Norj Guro competed against Yuko Kuroki for the WBC women’s minimumweight belt, but she was knocked out in the eighth round of the fight.
Yoshikawa, who is only 21 years old, is still a rookie in the professional ranks. Her first fight as a professional was in 2019, when she was defeated by Aoi Watanabe via unanimous decision. Yoshikawa got back on his feet and went on to win four of his last five competitions.
Yoshikawa is coming off a victory over Natsuki Tarui on July 24 in Osaka, which was decided by a majority decision.
Yoshikawa has a record of 4-1-1 with a knockout, while Norj Guro has a record of 12-7-1 with four knockouts.
Juanito Paredes is another character who is involved in the events of this card.
Having lost his last two fights, Paredes (9-9-1, 4 KOs) faces Taketo Yamahara (1-0) in a six-round bout with the intention of breaking out of his rut.
